- "Tudor Chimney Stacks: In Small Data Forgotten", Talia Perry, MA 2023 Description: A preservation copy of the site (captured June 2023), which began as a "digital appendix" to Talia Perry's Qualifying Paper, Rooftop Fancy and Folly: Tudor Chimney Stack as Device and Discourse (winner of the Clive Wainwright Award). From the site: This digital project began as a supplemental appendix to a qualifying paper (Bard Graduate Center MA thesis) unpacking the discursive capacity of the Tudor chimney stack. To aid in the understanding of various temporal and geographic trends of their construction, I compiled a dataset of known structures with extant examples of early modern chimneys. The dataset contains a broad range of information for each building, including brief chronologies of construction, material and morphological descriptions of the stacks, guidance on visitor access today and bibliographies for further research, etc.
