Series I: Catalogue
Scope and Contents
Exhibition records pertain to the planning, development, publicity, and presentation of the exhibition and its accompanying catalogue. See each series for details of the contents.
Series I: Catalogue - Materials related to the contents and production of the catalogue. Includes contributing author contracts, object image checklists, invoices and loans related to catalogue photography and editorial services, and correspondence between curatorial staff and other institutions.
Series II: Planning and Development - Materials related to exhibition budget, funding, and prospective touring. Financial materials include budgets, grant application materials, sponsorship proposals, letters of support, research materials on funding, and correspondence. Prospective tour materials include fact sheets, contracts, and research files.
Series III: Correspondence - Incoming and outgoing correspondence mostly related to exhibition planning, operations, and funding, and prospective touring. Some correspondents include curators, staff, and lenders. Note: some correspondence also appears in other series.
Series IV: Promotional Materials - Publicity and promotional materials for the exhibition. This includes pamphlets, brochures, and invitations.
Other related materials in other BGC collections include press, publicity, and public program materials.
Series V: Slides - Image slides related to exhibition themes and objects. Slides include images of artists, objects, as well as natural landscapes.
